Yosef D. Dlugacz, Ph.D., is the author of books on quality management, organizational theory and methodology, and the definition of value in health care. He is one of the nation's foremost theorists of quality management, appearing on numerous national and international forums. As the Senior Vice President of Quality Management for the 15-hospital North Shore Ð LIJ Health System, he was instrumental in developing and implementing their award-winning quality program. Today he leads a sophisticated and innovative quality management institute, the Krasnoff Quality Management Institute, a division of the NS-LIJHS. In addition to practical experience in hospital quality management, as a professor of quality management and health technology for several large universities, he understands the needs of students of MPH, MPA, and other health services programs to apply theory to practice.
