Dr. Onochie teaches undergraduate, graduate, and executive education courses in managerial finance, derivative securities, investments, corporate finance, and health care finance.

He received his Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from University of Ibadan, Nigeria, an MBA in finance at Tulane University in New Orleans, a Master of Arts degree in economics, and his Ph. D. in financial economics from University of New Orleans.

Prof. Onochie has written several articles and publications on various topics concerning finance and economics for magazines such as, The Journal of Futures Markets, Financial Review and The Review of Financial Economics. His current research program includes investigations of the effects of corporate finance decisions on health care institutions. He is active in many professional organizations
